Pretty in Pink

Ok, so if anyone knows me at all I am not a pink person. In fact, I am the furthest thing from being a lover of pink. However, when I seen this jacket on sale at Zara a few months back I just had to get it. It brings out my inner Chanel, and that makes me feel very classy! 

For the first time since becoming a California resident back in 2010, I visited the Getty museum in Malibu. Might I say how gorgeous that location is! If you are ever in the Malibu area and want to see a gorgeous view and learn a little while your at it, this is definitely the place! I wore my comfier shoes with a thicker heel since I knew I would be walking all over the place, and a larger clutch to carry around all my papers because yes, thanks to my mother I am one of those people who picks up all the flyers or hand outs as I walk by and my camera of course! 

I leave tonight on a red eye to NYC, so I will be sure to keep you all updated & remember HAPPY NYFW!

Lover of Lace

This past weekend I had the joy of heading up to Los Angeles with one of my great friends to help her out with a school project. It was extremely HOT as you can probably tell from the photos of my hair above. However, Malibu was gorgeous as always and after our adventures we ate at the most wonderful restaurant in Santa Monica. It is always great to see friends especially as you get older and life is always in the way.  Since I knew it was going to be a hot day, I wanted to wear something very light but can be easily transitioned to dinner attire. This dress I have had for ages and just didn't know how exactly to wear it. When I paired this dress with my FAVORITE jacket for the Fall I just did not want to take it off.

Speaking of Fall, I am in the middle of packing for New York Fashion Week! I know, SOOOO exciting right?! I will be taking lots of photos, and can't wait to share with you all upon my return.

Floral Fun

Summer is almost over, sadly. So I wanted to get all of my Summer florals out of my system. This morning I had breakfast with an old friend / boss who I haven't spoken to in ages. We both wanted to try out this new place in Orange called Saddle Ranch. Let me just tell you how wonderful not only the food was but at the end of our meal we were given a very LARGE cheesecake flavored cotton candy! Anyone who knows me even just a little bit knows my love for food of any kind. The end of our meal "surprise" made my entire day, and I even got some to take home. (Which I am munching on while writing this post!)

I am rarely ever seen with flowers so get a good look! I am not fond of flowers for the smell, nor how expensive they are. I would prefer food, sadly. Anyhow, this outfit was worn on the last day of BLOGSHOP LA. I wanted to be very comfortable but had to be cute since there was just so many creative bloggers attending. I have met so many inspiring people and can't wait to see their blogs grow from the class! They were handing out free flowers at the end of the class and I thought..Why not?!

Here are a few photos that were taken at Blogshop LA over the weekend. These shots were taken so we could practice some of the stuff we were learning on ourselves. Needless to say, I had an absolute blast with all the things we were learning. { YOU CAN NEVER LEARN TOO MUCH }  The teachers were so helpful and f u n! So overly happy I took the class, it will be very helpful for blogging as well in the workplace.

Blog Shop LA // Day 1

DAY 1 - BLOGSHOP LA

Today was the first day of Blogshop LA and I am already learning so many new things! If you ever need to get some blogging inspiration, brush up on ADOBE Photoshop or learn ADOBE Photoshop all together this is where to do it. Be sure to check online at (http://iheartblogshop.com) because they might be coming to a city near you! The venue was adorable, the food offered was amazing AND we got goodie bags  filled with a bunch of cute everyday things. Definitely worth spending a little extra time on your weekend to learn some helpful tools to grow your blog.

I am very exited to attend the second day tomorrow and I will post a recap of day 2 later tomorrow evening.

Monday Blues

Well, it's Monday and i've definitely got the blues! I have had such a busy weekend with moving AND graduate school started today. I am just a big ball of stressed! I just wanted to throw on something easy this morning. I knew what shoes I wanted to wear, since I always wear heels but REALLY wanted to be comfortable. These wedges from Lulus.com are always my go to shoes when I know I will be running around most of the day. I honestly would buy them in every color if I could.

Now to relax and watch the Bachelorette. Yes I am one of those girls!
